A charming 19th century industrial cotton factory fabric checking table where the unchecked fabric would be placed on the slats inside the table and then ther table top adjusted to the angle that the checker required and after that the checked fabric would be folded over underneath on the bottom inward angled slats. This is in good used conditon and has been given a wax and buff for use inside whilst retaining its patina & integrity.
This table is solid and made of pine, oak and elm. Would make a perfect kitchen island table as chopping boards, and unwanted items can be stored under the top on the slats and on the base larger pots, bowls or other items could be stored. Likewise perfect for shoes in a large boot room.
These items are extremely scarce and becoming harder and harder to source in any useable conditon.
